WHY I'M HERE

It's important that my readers know why I'm here and blogging today! I'm a birth mom to a beautiful little boy, and placing my son for adoption was the right choice for me. Please take note - I know and understand that my choice is not always the right option for others. However, I want to be here to give hope, guide, and inspire those girls that may be in a similar situation as I was.

As a single adult, I encountered a life-changing trial that I now call a blessing. Following my experience, life changed for the better, but continues to throw curve balls at me! My fairytale man and wedding have yet to happen (no, you're never too old for fairytales), your 20's are hilariously difficult, and who you are and what you stand for seems to change. So I'm here to share the quirky stories of my life, lessons I'm learning along the way, and how a girl continues on when the ideal marriage-and-babies thing doesn't play out like you were raised to think it would. Sharing with you my story, my ups and downs, and hopefully bringing something new to light. I have found I am happiest when keeping a close spiritual relationship with my Heavenly Father, but I know this can be difficult when going through hard times. Blaming God is easy. Don't get caught in that trap! I want my readers to know I'm here to support them in their situation - whatever it may be. My love for you is so strong. Be brave, be strong. I know the Lord holds a special place for mothers in his heart.

My posts here will include more detail on my experiences. Anything and everything from day one of finding out I was pregnant...to how I chose the right adoptive parents for Dayton and the aftermath of my decision. I will also try my best to respond to any questions I receive.

I was lucky enough to have supportive friends and family who loved me through the whole experience. These types of people are the most important pieces in situations of pregnancy out of wedlock. Not only do I wish to support the girls, but I want to offer guidance to their loved ones. Whether that be a mother, father, friends, or a close relative.

I am incredibly grateful for my supporters and always will be. In turn, I would like to be that support for anyone who may be struggling with the same things I did and still do!

I ask that my blog be shared. If anyone comes to mind, send them my way. I look forward to connecting with girls and people all over. I hope to open eyes and expand the minds of every person who visits my blog.

Thanks for taking the time to read! I'm excited to begin this journey :)
